Jan van Lokhorst

Born 1954 in Middelharnis. Attended the “Hogeschool voor Beeldende Kunst” in Amsterdam (Rietveld Academy). Graduated (1981) from the Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam. // Received the biennial art prize from the city of Gouda in 1984. // Exhibited in various museums in the Netherlands, including Museum Jan van der Togt in Amstelveen, where the book “Jan van Lokhorst, 20 years of painting” was presented. He also exhibits in galleries at home and abroad. // Various appealing works carried out on commission. Designed, among other things, the church window for the Oostpoort in Gouda, and decorated a new ship from Norfolkline. // Van Lokhorst received orders from the Ministries of Foreign, Economic and Social Affairs.
