Lilian Steenhuisen

After working for several years in various professions, Lilian, out of interest, followed a training course in making molds for bronze statues. And there she discovered that she had no aptitude for the beautiful but difficult craft of bronze foundry, but that she had a hidden talent for making the statues themselves in wax. Since then things have started rolling and by not resisting and rolling along, she has now been working as a sculptor since 2006. She makes figurative bronze statues suitable for indoors and outdoors. Lilian’s work is characterized as slim, graceful with exaggeration or humor, emotions and a lot of movement.
“Daring to take the plunge, not clinging to certainties” is a recurring theme in her work.
