Sensational exhibit of Fokker F28 aircraft parts

On Friday evening, November 20, 2015, the Fokker Art & Design exhibition kicks off with a festive opening weekend. Everyone is welcome to attend. Also Saturday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and Sunday following, the gallery will be open extra from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Art & Design come together in a sensational exhibition.
Several artists and designers set to work with Fokker F28 aircraft parts made available by the Koolhaas Alphen company especially for this project.

The Fokker F28

“The story behind the F28 Art & Design project began nearly sixty years ago with the design of the Fokker F28 Fellowship, one of the top designs of Dutch industry. The first flight was on May 9, 1967 at 5:19 a.m. from Schiphol Airport. A total of 243 of these aircraft were built. In over forty years of active service, the F28 has flown on every continent of the world, carrying millions of passengers to the most exotic destinations. The F28 can rightly be called one of the most important monuments of Dutch industrial heritage. That Dutch artists and designers have now set to work with parts of the F28 that have actually been used in aviation is quite special.”

These Dutch talents have crafted unique objects from the parts. Of course, paintings and photography will not be lacking within this theme. The exhibition will be festively opened with live music by Jan Kiewiet de Jonge on Friday evening, Nov. 20, from 8 p.m. onwards. Admission is free and open to all!

The exhibition will also remain free and open to all after the weekend. If you are coming with large groups of more than 10 people, it is convenient to contact us in advance. There are also opportunities to visit the exhibition in combination with relations or staff, for example, this can be done with a networking reception, workshop, tour or dinner.

The gallery is open Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 am – 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Other days and times by appointment.
Sunday, December 20, 2015 is the last day of the exhibition and the gallery will be open by appointment.
