2021 summer exhibition theme ‘Turn’

Final weekend Sept. 11 & 12, 2021

In the summer months of 2021, there will be another Summer Exhibition at Sille Gallery. This year’s theme is “Turn.

We really can’t ignore it anymore. Artists went all out with the theme “Turn. Wheels turn that are unstoppable. Circles, loops, dancing, rotating and fluid interplay are sure to be encountered. A dynamic theme that can be depicted in both form and subject matter. Think of spinning records or doing laundry but also, for example, wallowing and curling. The theme refers to anything that goes around or has circular movements.

To achieve an exciting level exhibition, artists have created one or more masterpieces within their own style within the theme. Entries were judged on uniqueness, originality, quality. It must possess an innovative character by which the artist has unified the theme of Turn into his art.

Previous years

Previous Summer Exhibitions were a success. It started when the Tour de France passed by the gallery in the summer of 2015 and an exhibition with the cycling theme was linked to it. In subsequent years, the themes were: Red Pepper, Airy, Rhythm, Delft Blue and last year’s theme was Mirror.

Unfortunately, last year the associated Arts & Culinary event could not take place.
But despite Corona, it was the busiest exhibition with the most sales of any year! This year we will also not be betting on the “Culinary” but rather on a nice high number of visitors again spread over the summer months.
