Anders Wolhar

Anders Wolhar was born in 1969 in Utrecht. He started his career as a motorcycle specialist painter. After doing this successfully for a number of years, the desire to express his own creativity grew. From one day to the next, Wolhar stopped special painting and focused on being an artist. From there he recreated himself into the artist he is today.

Wolhar’s images are contemporary with a slight reference to classical Greek imagery. He depicts the relationship between man, matter and the divine.

The battle between the divine nature and the greed/ego of man, and whether they are not the same thing. His images are a representation of movement in balance with a perfect sense of detail and finish. Wolhar does not let himself be stopped from making what he wants to make. An image requires a certain material.
