Artwork: Wall objects

We know saffron primarily as a spice. And not just any spice, no the most expensive in the world! It is a powerful seasoning, thanks to its strong taste, special color and, of course, aroma.

The herb grows in the Crocus Saticus Linneaus, a purple-pink flower. It is a rare flower, growing in large quantities almost only in Iran and blooming for only 8 days a year. Only the pistils (only 3!) of this particular flower provide the rare herb. They are red wires with an orange tip at the end.

Wall object Saffron gets its name from this color palette. The lilac side and the pink plexiglass interpret the flower, the green obviously the narrow leaf and the warm colors of the rusted iron the pistils what it is all about.

It has a size of 20 (30 incl. plexiglass) x 50 cm and can be hung either standing or lying.
