Cees Hoogeveen from Zegveld has been involved with art since his youth.
As a child, he was inseparable from pencil and paper, and drawing still forms the foundation of his work today. From this love of line and form, he continued to develop and, a few years ago, discovered the possibilities of working in three dimensions. At first, he worked exclusively with stone, further refining his sense of form and structure. Later, he began experimenting with other materials such as metal, wood, and natural elements. It is precisely the combination of different techniques and raw materials that gives his work its distinctive character and continually opens new creative paths.
For Hoogeveen, making art means more than simply creating objects. It is a way to break free from daily routine and to give space to freedom and imagination. He cannot imagine a life without creating.
Today, his work spans a wide range of artistic forms. At Sille Gallery, a collection of sculptures is presented in which form and experimentation meet. His oeuvre is personal, versatile, and constantly evolving—a search for balance between material, form, and expression.
