Hannelore Houdijk

Hannelore graduated from the St. Joost art academy in Breda at a young age and then completed a master’s degree at the Dutch Art Institute in Enschede.
Her enthusiasm for painting took her to China, where she lived in 2001
exhibited. Various projects and exhibitions followed in various countries and in
She received a starting stipend in 2003.
In 2019 she won the national ‘Painting of the Year’ competition with her painting ‘Teapot in the water’. In 2020 she won the 2nd prize of the audience award at the Annual Dutch Art Fair in Amsterdam. In 2022 she won the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year, Wijdemeren’ award. And she has a channel on YouTube where she shows what her life as an artist is like with monthly vlogs.

Hannelore has developed her own way of painting; From a distance the work appears photorealistic, from up close it is coarse and you can clearly see the paint strokes. The work starts to move and looks different every time. You keep discovering new details…!
