Hans Schule

Hans Schüle is a sculptor who explores and pushes the boundaries of steel. His sculptures play with contrasts: closed and open, solid and airy, organic and geometric. By shaping steel in a way that evokes movement and energy, he creates works that not only occupy space but transform it.

Schüle initially trained as a graphic designer before turning to painting and sculpture. From 1991 to 1997, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and the Berlin University of the Arts.

Ranging from monumental public sculptures to refined indoor objects, Schüle’s work shows that steel can be more than a hard, industrial material – it can feel dynamic, even alive.
