Lotte Kloppenburg

After a career of more than ten years in the financial sector, Lotte Kloppenburg established an independent artistic practice centred on aesthetics, refinement, and the sensory qualities of materials. A defining moment came in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, where encounters with artists inspired her to develop her own distinctive visual language in 2019.

Her sculptures are characterised by a clear visual language, refined craftsmanship, and a strong spatial presence. Combining technical precision with an intuitive approach, she creates works that offer a different experience from every viewpoint.

In 2026, Kloppenburg introduces a new series of marble-based sculptures featuring stacked and melting ice creams, further expanding her visual language. The iridescent sticks continuously shift in colour depending on the viewer’s position, inviting movement around the sculptures and revealing new perspectives with every step.

Through this evolving body of work, Kloppenburg has developed a distinctive sculptural signature in which refinement, materiality, and a sense of wonder converge.
