Marjon Bessems

Marjon Bessems’ work is diverse, but always recognizable because of her original, idiosyncratic handwriting. She creates images and paintings with passion and drive.

She works quickly and sketchily but with great accuracy. The themes she addresses are deeply anchored in her and give her world a different dimension. It produces a drive that becomes visible in abstracted figurative images.

Her years of experience as a gallery owner have increased her insight into the field with regard to possibilities and impossibilities. The ability to discern is therefore strongly developed.

She often works on behalf of private individuals and companies and also exhibits regularly both at home and abroad. Marjon Bessems was nominated for artist of the year in the Netherlands in 2003. She is also a member of the Limburg Art Circle (LKK)
