Artist Jacques Tange at Sille Gallery 2014

Jacques Tange has been nominated for artist of the year 2014. Tange permanently exhibits his paintings at Galerie Sille.
His birds are wind-up, his horses are carnival horses on wheels, apartment buildings are pliable, men turn out to be bourgeois men with bowler hats, women are unattainable beauties. All this he depicts in colorful, imaginative and relatable works.Tange’s paintings never intend to portray individuals, they portray a society. These words are used by Jan Donia [author and art critic in the recently published book “The Garden of Eve” about Jacques Tange. His work can be found in leading galleries and collections and exhibits regularly at home and abroad.
