Quatro Piedras

Angelo Moyano continues to expand his collection. The late 2024 Quatro Piedras in Corten steel is one of them. This new work consists of not three (tres) but four (quatro) parts that balance together. The sculpture stands loose on its square base and gently tumbles on the wind.

Corten steel

Moyano welds the rolled parts himself, ensuring perfect balance in his works of art. Corten steel is a type of metal that forms a protective rust layer and prevents further rusting. Moyano’s sculptures can be delivered unrusted and naturally develop the familiar warm, brown/orange rust skin. The color creates a contrasting appearance in the environment.

Angelo Moyano is a promising artist whose work shows a fascinating mix of design and innovation. In his artworks with balancing features and stacking, he explores new perspectives. These experiences influence his artistic development and result in new abstracted forms and finishes. Currently, he is also working with coatings and polished stainless steel. Collection

Moyano is a sculptor but also works with bronze or steel in addition to stone. They have the same powerful forms that form a relationship with the environment. The forms are derived from figurative elements such as the curves of women this can also be seen in his torsos and “butts. In his small Piedritas in alabaster stone he has developed the unique style that allows movement to be a part of his work. It is fascinating to see how Moyano’s handwriting remains visible throughout his collection>>.
