Summer exhibition GROEi

In the summer we will open the Summer Exhibition for the 10th time, an annual event with a festive weekend on May 24 & 25, 2025. The exhibition in the gallery is open all summer long. This year’s theme is GROWTH, a theme with numerous meanings. In nature, we see plenty of growth and flowering in the spring season. Grasses, trees, flowers, everything is experiencing growth. New litters hatch, animals grow up and human children also develop into beautiful adults.

Growth in Every Form

However, growth can also occur from within. Life and the experiences we have lead to inner growth. Artists from Sille Gallery’s stable, as well as a number of guest artists, reflect on this multifaceted theme. Whether it is growth in nature, inner growth or stagnation in growth, the theme inspires them to create visual work in their own style.

The exhibition offers a nice mix of figurative and abstract works in various disciplines, including painting, sculpture, photography and wall objects.

Festive opening weekend

We cordially invite you to attend the official opening on Saturday, May 24 at 3:00 pm. We will raise a glass together, the artists will be present, the new magazine KNST! will be launched, and a special city poet will give a short reading.

Jasper de Jong Hoveniers will ensure that the square in front of the gallery will again be beautifully green, this year extra fitting the theme. At the entrance, Saskia Verdel of Binnenbeplanting is working with us to provide an artistic and green entrance.

The whole weekend of May 24 & 25 is dedicated to festive activities, with music and a terrace in good weather.

We look forward to making it a fun weekend together, everyone is welcome!

Those who want a quiet sneak preview are welcome to visit the gallery on Thursday and Friday prior.
