What an interest in the facade signs!
“I want to thank everyone who organized and supported the project and of course all the other artists. But especially Els Verseveld, what a wonderful and inspiring woman. She helped me super also with the execution in ceramics, really a professional in the business. I felt honored to create a facade sign” Tamara Sille.

Peperstraat 16 at Oudewater

In the facade sign, the four trades (which housed there): tailor, grocer, jeweler and musician are reflected in the ornamentation. Its location centrally in Oudewater determined its main form. As the current residents also describe “No matter where you are in the house, you look into the city on all sides.” The portraits in the facade sign also look in all directions and the joint lines represent the center.
