Monique Lipsch – Sculptures

Monique Lipsch was inspired by her father, who was involved in creative development at an early age. Thus, early on she got the desire to do the same.

Many of her sculptures are now scattered around the country in public spaces or in private gardens. She is fascinated by shapes. Basic shapes, such as circles, but also human forms. For example, she likes clean, simple lines and polished surfaces. And at the same time, she plays with voluminous curves, which makes her images cuddly.

Monique creates her sculptures with contortions and distortions with smaller and larger vistas. The contrast between hard materials with clean lines and round, soft shapes evokes tension. A dynamic that is almost palpable.

Materials plastic and bronze

In addition to plastic sculptures, bronze lines became a new element. It gave her a chance to escape from closedness and get a view of the space around her. It is her new reality. She was determined to go her own way. The world was open and she had to dive into it in her own way.

Inspiration Monique Lipsch

Learning to feel free. And she did. What inspires her? That’s hard to say. Her inspiration comes mostly from within. Every time she feels the urge to create an image. And every time again, such a basic form is her starting point. Of course, she also sees things in the world around her that touch or inspire her. She uses those, too. But the real inspiration is inside. New ideas come again and she has found the strength to express them in new forms and new materials.
