Tina Lintvelt

Tina Lintvelt, born 1956 in Hamburg. Since 1995 she has specialized in sculpting, ceramic design and bronze casting. Currently, bronze is her main medium.
Tina Lintvelt is involved from start to finish in creating her images. The structures of the sculpture and the cast skin determine the atmosphere of her work. Changes or additions made during the casting process can strengthen the shape of the work. As far as possible, she tries to respond to this and make use of it. In this way her work gets its recognizable shape and atmosphere.
It is clearly noticeable that when creating sculptures she has a preference for natural, sometimes abstracted, organic-looking forms.

The work appeals to the imagination of the viewer, who always believes he discovers something new in the whimsical shapes
It also holds up a mirror to the viewer, it conjures up images, it confronts the viewer with his truth.
The images are an encounter, determined by the viewer’s frame of reference.
The associations one has say something about the viewer who enters into the relationship with the image.
