July 2 & 3 Launch summer exhibition Red Pepper

What such a small, spicy vegetable can bring about. Already since last October, a large group of Dutch contemporary artists have been working to create art inspired by the Red Pepper. It will be a special collection. The diversity in the techniques painting, photography and sculpture, as well as the ideas are very diverse. Yet the artists each worked in their unique and recognizable own style.

Reserving a spot on the terrace is possible!

On July 2, not only will the art be Red Pepper-themed; there will also be a large culinary terrace in front of the gallery with wine specialist Grandi Vini featuring Spanish wines, Sangria and spicy, cool beers, among others.
Around lunchtime and toward the end of the afternoon, it is wise to reserve a table because Ad Brak Catering is our host with a spicy bite, tapas and live cooking.

Other local business owners are busy as well. So Bram van der Schoor, better known as Bram Stroopwafel, got to work on a light fiery treacle wafer served with coffee and tea. Roberto of the local Ice Cream Parlor develops chocolate scoop ice cream the artisan way with a touch of chili! The ice cream is already available on the Oudewater Riviera from June 1 at IJssalon Roberto.

At noon, the event starts with the opening of the summer exhibition, lunch and musical accompaniment by Martijn Buijnsters and Isabel Miralles with Spanish classical.
Later in the afternoon we slowly switched to acoustically performed songs by the Red Hot Chili Peppers oa. by Leanne Sieling and Jantine van Dijk who created their own wonderful interpretation of the songs. Then the real covers by the band The Loot and Huxley.

Concept

Art, terrace and music form a special combination created during the passage of the Tour de France last year when right in front of Galerie Sille’s premises. There was great interest in the themed exhibition inspired by cycling. People enjoyed the French terrace and the appropriate chansons sung live on the terrace. Now we will match the atmosphere again unfortunately without the tour but with a lot more passion and spirit.
Jan van der Vlist provides the patio furniture and Jan Vermeij Zonwering installs large umbrellas, should the sun shine too brightly or it were to drip. Be there!

On Sunday, July 3, the gallery will also be open from noon – 5 p.m.!
