Summer Exhibition “Drijven” Now Open to the Public

The summer exhibition *Drijven* is now open, and the first visitors have already explored it. Through September 21, Sille Gallery is showcasing an extensive collection of contemporary art that interprets the theme *Drijven* in a variety of ways.

More than thirty artists explore how the concept of “floating” can take on different meanings—from literally floating on water to going with the flow of life, seeking balance, or, conversely, letting go of control. Paintings, sculptures, photography, and wall installations come together to form a multifaceted exhibition that invites you to pause, look, and let yourself be surprised.

As it does every year, a single overarching theme serves as the common thread of the exhibition. With this, Sille Gallery continues a tradition that began in 2015 and has since grown into a beloved annual event. Previous themes have included Red Pepper, Airy, Rhythm, Delft Blue, Mirror, Spin, Out of Balance, Loose & Tight, The Color, and Growth.

The theme “Drifting” invites reflection. Sometimes you let yourself be carried along by the flow of daily life; other times, you consciously chart your own course. When do you let go, when do you adjust your course, and what actually keeps you afloat? Each artist offers a surprising interpretation of these questions from their own perspective.

The exhibition is open through September 21, 2026, on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. From Sunday through Wednesday, visits are by appointment only. Everyone is welcome; admission is free.
