Collection Loose & Fixed

In addition to our current collection, we have our annual Summer Exhibition. This year, the artists were inspired by Loose & Fixed. Think loose ends, casual, unfettered or freedom. In contrast, it is tight, sturdy and compact. The artists are free to make their own interpretation of this theme. All disciplines are covered: painting, photography, sculpture and unusual wall objects and installations.

Visiting summer exhibition

Everyone is welcome to visit the gallery; there is no charge. The gallery is always open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, unless otherwise stated on the website. The gallery is wheelchair friendly. Parking is available in front. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

33 artists

Of the participating artists, 28 are familiar faces and have been exhibiting at our gallery for some time. For this exhibition especially with new art!

But we also welcome 5 new artists: Babette Degraeve, Anders Wolhar, Noortje Haegens, Peter Leuhof and Carina Wagenaar.

Opening

On Saturday, June 17, at 3 p.m., we festively opened the Summer Exhibition Loose & Fixed! The entire weekend had a festive touch, there was an attractive terrace where everyone could sit back and relax, decorated with plantings from landscaping company Brand. There was swinging music including the wines of Grandi Vini, our wine specialist from Oudewater, and Stadsbrouwerij Oudewater was present with delicious specialty beers.

Previous years

Every year in the summer we work with a theme. Previous Summer Exhibitions were a success and well attended. It started in 2015 when the Tour de France passed by the gallery in Oudewater. That first summer we paired the cycling theme with the exhibition. In subsequent years, the themes were: Red Pepper, Airy, Rhythm, Delft Blue, Mirror, Turn and last year Off Balance.
